ENGINEERING MANAGER -
NORTH EAST

Our client is the UK arm of the world’s largest specialist manufacturer of it’s type. They use World Class Manufacturing techniques to ensure the plant runs as effectively as possible.

Due to substantial sustained growth and a recognised skills gap they are now looking for an engineering manager to lead a team of 14 people.

The role will be to take the plant to almost 100% planned maintenance as opposed to reactive repair. Total Productive Maintenance will also need to be implemented and is a vital part of this position.

As there is no other company of its type in this country they are willing to look at other backgrounds including extrusion, automotive or paper amongst others.

In order to be considered then you must have a wealth of man management experience as well as Kaizen and 5s methodology. Six Sigma is a bonus.

Job Description

Candidates are invited to apply with a Geotechnical, Environmental, and Engineering Geology background on contaminated land projects. A minimum of 2 years experience is required for junior staff, up to Business Unit Manager (Associate/Associate Director). For senior positions candidates should be Chartered.

Due to increased workload, they are now looking for a service engineer for their shop floor machines.

You must be electrically biased, have experience of PLC, fault finding and be able to read and reference electrical drawings.

The work is shift based but the shifts are only two hours apart and both keep close to normal office opening hours.

Personal track safety certification and a valid driving licence would be an advantage in these positions.
